[Winter is Coming] Winter Style

Winter isn't coming….it's here! Time to rug, wrap and layer yourself up.

It's all about texture and contrasting textures. Leather and lace, cable knits and denim, cashmere and silk. Beanies and fedoras are also the perfect stylish solution to keep your hair from looking like a frizz ball in the rain. Bigger is better- oversized sweaters, scarves, coats and furs are all the better to wrap yourself up in.

[Bloody Oxblood] Not Red Not Brown

Oxblood is definitely making its mark this season and although it has been around for longer than some might think, I believe its presence will continue to linger in the future. As you can see in this post, it is a really versatile hue. I love how it can be translated into many forms of fashion, beauty and accessories.

On the top of my wish list is an oxblood leather jacket, the kind of leather that has that aged, beaten look in a deep rich oxblood tone (not red, not brown), a pair of ankle boots in a slightly lighter earthier oxblood and a bag (I'm eyeing the Alexander Wang Printed Lizard Marion Bag or the Marc by Marc Jacobs Too Hot to Handle textured leather tote)

It's a Euro Thing [Street Style: Texture]

The Fall 2012 Fashion Shows shown across Europe were spread over several months and therefore seasons. The street style reflected this from sheer lace baring skin to big fluffy fur coats over many layers.

It didn't seem to matter what the weather was like, style still prevailed!

It's a Euro Thing.
